Colbi Lyn : 8 months

8 months have passed and I can still remember that moment of meeting her for the first time. What a sweet moment that was, I often think back to that day and wish I could live it over and over again. It was such a surreal thing finding out that she was a girl and just feeling overcome with emotion. My labor and delivery could not have gone more perfect, it really was the perfect ending to such a wonderful last pregnancy and I am so grateful for that day and that experience in my life. Colbi is one sweet little girl, she continues to make all of us happy with her giggles, smiles and shrieks. I love dressing her up and putting bows in her hair. She is a great little eater and sleeper and for a baby she is pretty easy to have around.

Easter : He is Risen......

 ....He is Risen Indeed!
The day before Easter I took the kids over to my parents and we dyed easter eggs. The weather was gorgeous so we were able to go outside on my parents deck and let the kids make a mess. The boys were all very into it and I just let them go and do whatever they wanted. We had some pretty interesting looking eggs!
Easter morning the kids got some fun stuff in their Easter baskets and then we had Resurrection rolls and breakfast burritos.
Colbi got her very first pink towel. I think it may be one of the only pink things that we even have in our house. Obviously she was thrilled.

 Headed to church.
 Love these kids!
Colbi was ready for a nap at this point. She ended up sleeping for 3 hours which was nice because I hosted Easter at our house this year. This is really the first big holiday where I have actually hosted it and I was pretty nervous about it being a total bust. Thankfully the food turned out great, we had ham with raspberry glaze, roasted potatoes, strawberry pretzel salad, green beans, quinoa salad (brought by my mom) and rolls. My parents and Taylor joined us and we were able to eat outside and enjoy the nice weather and good company. The boys had an Easter egg hunt and ate way too much candy!

Probably one of my favorite Easter's yet. Such good memories to look back on, my kids are growing up way too fast!

Spring Break 2014

Spring break this year was so much fun! We started off with a trip to Brownlee Reservoir, Uncle Taylor came with us and we met Dave's cousins at the cabin. We spent the weekend fishing, throwing rocks, relaxing and eating really yummy food! We came back on Sunday and on Tuesday the kids and I drove to Spokane for Reese and Perry's 7th birthday party. We spent the night and the kids had a great time with their cousins and I had fun seeing my sister, we got home late Wednesday night. Thursday we met our friends at Bennington Lake and did some hiking, had a picnic lunch and then let the kids find sticks and rocks to throw into the lake. We spent the rest of the break playing outside, enjoying the amazing weather and completing some projects around the house.  It was the perfect mix of fun and relaxation and I loved having no schedule and no places we had to be every evening.
The kids were great in the car on both trips!

What we woke up to at Brownlee. There is no place on earth that makes me happier than waking up and seeing this view.

These two were my running buddies, I need to get back into running stroller shape!

Fun times with friends at Bennington Lake.
Jax with his best buddy Joel.

Lots of time is spent jumping lately, the weather is perfect for it!

The boys working on yard projects. Uncle Taylor has been a big help with all the projects we have going on. We could not have gotten it all done without him. The boys ADORE him, Jax wants him to move into our guest room.

The brothers proud of their new retaining wall.
Dave taught Colt how to tie knots so Colt was practicing on Jax.
Little Miss needed a hat for protection from all this sunshine.
Colt lost another tooth (that makes 3!)!!!
